Web Development

More Web Development Tools

So in addition to my earlier post on internet tools to learn about web development, I have come across some more interesting links.

1. Bento – Bento is a site with links to the best web dev learning programs, organized by programming language.  A lot of the programs it links to are already well known, but it’s a nice compilation nonetheless.

2. Skillshare–  I actually reallyyyy want to take a bunch of the classes here.  They don’t just offer web dev classes though, they have a wide range of categories, including calligraphy graphic design, drawing, branding, etc. I really want to take one of their classes on wireframing , making logos, and how to build iPhone apps.  Price per class seems to be around $25.

3. General Assembly– I know I already mentioned Dash, but General Assembly offers online classes on a variety of subjects such as Data Analysis, Digital Marketing, Product and User Experience Design.  The cool thing is that for $25 a month you can get access to all of their on-demand and live video content, and it has a 14-day money back guarantee.  I’m also thinking about giving this a try.  Plus, it seems more cost-effective than Skillshare, where you have to pay for each individual class you want to take.

4.Youtube-There is so much (free!) information here.  It’s not usually as neat as taking classes elsewhere but there are plenty of tutorials on just about any subject, so it’s always worth checking out.
